Finally, the very anticipated poster design exhibition "Free Press" will be open on May the 7th 2010 at 6 p.m.
Artists from all over the world (Poland, India, Taiwan, Germany, The Slovac Republic, the UK, Ucrain, Canada, France, Japan, South Corea, the United States...) competed enthusiastically with each other focusing on the theme freedom of the press. Press not only intended as radio, television or newspapers, but also as Internet, blogs and social network.
"The Graphicplayers, in collaboration with the coordinators of the festival vicino/lontano, explains Katalin Daka, have chosen to focus on one of the main issues of this year's event: information. We thought that this issue would be particularly exciting to work out for young creatives. And with all the applications recieved we definitily got our idea confirmed." From all the posters arrived there are 50 deserving artworks, but just the 12 most significant ones will be part of the exhibition. Free Press will remain open until June 13th 2010, from thursday to saturday, from 4 p.m to 7 p.m. at the Multiseum (the pyramid of Città Fiera, Martignacco - Udine, Italy). The entrance is free.

"The Graphicplayers, says Roberta Biasutto project manager for "Free Press", is a team of young creatives working in the area of the Region Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italy. We propose to organise exhibitions and events to support young creatives and to introduce them as an artists in our territory. We are really satisfied with the results of this initiative, also because we only promoted the contest by using our website and our facebook page."
